Review: You know you'll be in for something different when Christopher Walken movie has a component of a professional hit man - and he's not even one of the bad guys! Although it may make a bit of trimming here and there legally, Man on Fire is generally effective crime drama that vary in tone from pure sentimental brutal clarity - and almost all imaginable tone in Washington stars as Creasy between.Denzel, who was a murderer CIA who recently have ceased activity and to seek some sort of redemption fo, r sin hes done. So far hes been looking for answers in the bottle and the Bible, and not doing so well either. As the film opens, Mexico City has been ravaged by a series of kidnapping for the purpose of strength and well-to-do, can be carried out by the very police for keeping law and order in society. Creasy takes the role as guardians of the daughter of wealthy investor who rightly fear for his safety. first third of the film is devoted to growing friendship between Creasy and his commandments, Pita, cute little girl who slowly but surely works his way into the original hard Creasys RTA officials and emotions. last two thirds of the movie turn into retaliation angel melodrama, as Creasy procedure seeks out and eliminates all those involved for the tragedy that occurs early in story.Based a novel and AJ Quinnell, Man on Fire, astutely written by Brian Helgeland and flashily directed by Tony Scott, is coldly effective action picture that never dares not raw brutality of its contents. Takes the risk in asking us to identify with someone who is, for all intents and purposes, to achieve redemption and torturing and killing (admittedly disreputable) people. These scenes of murder and violence is both intense and exciting, even if sometimes border on exploitation. Even better is a quiet, intimate time between Creasy and Pita in the first part of the film. Washington and the lovely Dakota Fanning establish the nature, overlooking a report that helps set the stage for chaos and turmoil for follow.Washington carries the film and its quality for determination rights, and r we understand his character on an emotional level, even if he does eludes us education. In addition to the two leads, there are strong performances from Walken, Marc Anthony, Radha Mitchell, Mickey Rourke, Rachel Ticotin and Giancarlo Giannini. But it is Washington and delightful Ms. Fanning who steals show.Man on Fire would be best for a half hour running time considered his best but is still Ä, n-average thriller.
