Review: Greetings again from the darkness. So much personality! Yes, there is a surprising number of characters played by an actor who's whos, but the identity of the most emitters are the same film. Historical events, the civil rights movement, drama, family, generational differences, the president, emotional conflicts, and Oscar posturing.Forest Whitaker describes the Cecil Gaines, who worked his way up from being a slave plantation in childhood, which is a mixture of high-level White House butler ... spanned 34 years and president for eight performances. It's the real life story of Eugene Allen, a front row seat to the dramatic historical events and social change based on the story of a ... all while wearing white gloves and tuxedo.While great emotional moments of the movie, in my opinion, may be stronger if committed more time with both the White House and Cecil Cecils and his generation to run the desperate struggle between father and son playing with his fire by David Oyelowo ( Freedom Rider Black Panther starting) change. Instead of wasting the Cecils wife of adultery (Oprah Winfrey) and her friend (Terrence Howard) and side stories that involve interaction with the surface of a lot of time is wasted. Director Lee Daniels clearly has a lot of friends who want to be part of this one. Incredible cast including Mariah Carey (Login form), Alex Pettyfer (as cruel slave owner), Vanessa Redgrave (the Cecils serving coach), Clarence Williams III (ultra mentor Cecils cool), Nelson Ellis, Martin Luther King, and Cuba Gooding Jr. Lenny Kravitz (like the White House butlers friends). Most blatant slap in the face of extreme conservative Democrat John Cusack plays the removal of Richard Nixon and Nancy Reagan comes as Jane Fonda. The president Robin Williams (Dwight eisenhauer), James Marsden (John F Kennedy), Liev Schreiber (LBJ), and Alan Rickman (Ronald Reagan) to play. The game is very worrying time to see the stars, but not as much as one might think. Just a shame that most of the stories or the screen get very little time.As for Oprah Winfrey, Oscar for her performance, including some of the chatter was more than love. What I see a strong performance, but the disturbing side of her husband (Whitaker) because of the lack of aging. Very little (except apparel) was changed from the beginning until the very end, heavy make-up she went to Obama's election. On a personal note, my image of a 1970s era watching Oprah's Soul Train making need.Again booty shaking was not my favorite scenes between father and son are ... Whitaker and Oyelowo. Two generations have struggled to understand each other and in so many different ways to interpret the world proved quite as strong. Often painful and embarrassing it this way, if African-Americans were treated, but even more, even with the father-son relationship.
