Review: It 'hard to get your head around the fact that Reservoir Dogs has been around for ten years. It 's almost hard to remember a time before Tarantino film has had a huge impact (good and bad), but I saw this film first time round before the hype. All I knew was that, as another dog movie of the same era that I have seen, the murderess, that there would be violent, funny and disturbing, and played a long time favorite of mine Harvey Keitel and Tim Roth , especially since I knew Greenaway's The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover. Ok, I hope it's good, I thought as I waited for the film to listen to some '70s AM pop and half remembered a strange conversation on the sexual life of Our Lady (movie soundtrack played before the main feature, but what we know ). So the film itself, bubbly and charming from the word go. It 'impossible to describe the impact of seeing this for the first time not knowing what to expect! Still one of my biggest movie memorabilia. Ten years later, I have seen countless times as a surprise obviously has worn off, but it's a brilliant film, because violence and wise-cracks from Mr. Pink (Steve Buscemi - In The Soup), Mr.. Brown (Michael Madsen - Thelma & Louise), and Nice Guy Eddie (Chris Penn - At Close Range), there is a lot of depth, which, being very human relationship between Mr. White (Keitel) and Mr. Orange (Roth). For me this is one of the things that elevates this above many lame and unoriginal film Tarantinoesque we had to endure from Pulp Fiction. His followers just do not have the faintest idea! Cinema simply brilliant, and a modern classic. This is the fundamental vision!
